Milwaukee Miter Saw

Models 6950 and 6955 Milwaukee Miter Saws

Why a Milwaukee Miter Saw?

There are a lot of different companies out there that make miter saws...and Milwaukee is one of them.

I have to say that the choices are quite limited when going with this brand of miter saws.

They currently only have two new models available:

Model 6950-20 Dual Bevel miter saw.

Model 6955-20 Dual Bevel Sliding miter saw.

So what makes these two lone Milwaukee miter saws so special that they deserve a look from you?

Below we intend on giving you the information you need to answer that very question.

For your convenience we have provided some quick reference guides for you to look through.

What you will see is the miter saws features, specifications, included accessories and a price broken down by a few vendors and retailers for your reference.

Miter Saw Reviews

These two saws are almost identical in so many ways that we thought one review would cover both saws.

The biggest difference in these two miter saws is the sliding rail...one with and one without.

The other feature variations are really only negligible...one (the 6950-20) is a few pounds heavier and has a little more miter travel range.

Otherwise...not much different.

Milwaukee Miter SawProsCons
  • Smooth motor start-up
  • Plenty of power
  • Dust Channel moves dirt/debris away fast and easy
  • Plenty of lifting points for carrying (at least until you buy a rolling Stand)
  • Large and easy to use bevel adjustment handle
  • left side fence is not adjustable
  • No hold down clamp function provided
  • Can't hook vac to large dust channel (no adapter)

What's Our Conclusion?

Milwaukee has always made a pretty rugged, reliable and functional line of power tools...and these two miter saws are no exception.

Although this company only has two current miter saw models...they both are pretty well designed and well built power tools...they're Milwaukee's!
